Fee Policy at City College Jayanagar
City College Jayanagar is committed to maintaining transparency in its fee structure and payment policies to ensure students can plan their finances effectively. Below are the detailed guidelines for the fee policy:
- Payment of Fees:
- All tuition fees and associated charges must be paid before the start of each semester as per the fee structure.
- It is the student’s responsibility to stay updated on the semester’s tuition fees and other applicable charges.
- Fee Allocation:
- Payments received will first be applied to the oldest outstanding dues, whether tuition fees or other charges.
- Additional Fees:
- In addition to tuition fees, students may incur other charges associated with their studies. Students can obtain their complete fee statement from the Accounts Department.
- Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF):
- SSAF must be paid along with tuition fees at the start of the academic session.
- Students waiting for scholarships or loans are required to pay the fees upfront and apply for refunds once the funds are credited to the Institute.
- Non-payment of SSAF may result in restricted enrolment, examination bans, or withholding of hall tickets.
- Refund Policy:
- SSAF is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Tuition fee refunds are processed as per University/Board norms.
- Instalment Plan Eligibility:
- Students facing financial difficulties may apply for a Tuition Fee Instalment Plan, subject to approval.
- The plan incurs a non-refundable administrative fee of Rs. 10,000 for PG students and Rs. 5,000 for PUC/UG students.
- Terms and Penalties:
- Students must adhere to the Instalment Plan contract’s terms and conditions.
- Non-compliance may result in late payment fees, enrolment cancellation, and restricted access to services or results.
- Penalties for Overdue Fees:
- Enrolment cancellation.
- Prevention of enrolment in current or future sessions.
- Restricted access to Institute services, official documents, and final results.
- Exclusion from graduation or degree conferral.
- Reinstatement Fee:
- Students whose enrolment is cancelled due to non-payment must pay a non-refundable reinstatement fee to reactivate enrolment.
- Student Responsibility:
- Students must ensure their finances are in order to meet the cost of their education before enrolling.
- They must monitor their account balance regularly and resolve any outstanding fees before progressing to the next semester or graduation.
- Withdrawal and Refunds:
- Students may cancel their enrolment within 14 calendar days after enrolment completion by informing the Institute in writing. Withdrawal without notification may result in liability for the full fee.
- Loan Applications:
- Students applying for loans must ensure their applications are completed and submitted on time. Self-funding students must notify the Institute if their loan application is unsuccessful and make payment arrangements promptly.
